East Region Gallant powered Masuk to three victories last week with her arm and bat. The junior was 3-0 with three shutouts, striking out 45 and allowing just two hits over 20 innings of work. Gallant went 7-for-11 at the plate with three doubles, two home runs, nine RBI and two runs scored. She opened the week with a 19-strikeout (one walk) no-hitter versus Pomperaug in which she also contributed a double and three RBI.

Southington softball defeats Enfield for CCC Championship

HARTFORD – The Southington softball team extended its winning streak to 21 games and celebrated Memorial Day as CCC Champions after a 10-1 win over Enfield to close out the conference tournament.  All 11 runs in the game were scored in the third inning as the fourth-seeded Eagles notched their only run of the contest in the top of the frame, before opening the door for the top-ranked Blue Knights to burst through for 10
