Agawam senior Maria Moccio signed her National Letter of Intent to play Division I college softball at UMass-Lowell this week. Moccio made her verbal commitment to UMass-Lowell last school year. BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University softball team clinched the Conference USA regular-season title by sweeping a doubleheader with WKU on Saturday night. It is the FAU’s first team conference title since joining Conference USA. The Owls won game one 16-1 in five innings and game two 8-3 to improve to 43-7 on the year and 18-2 in C-USA play. Read More

Rachele Fico was one of the most talented pitchers to come through LSU’s softball program. By the end of her senior season in 2013, Fico ranked among the top five players in school history in completed games (82), innings pitched (774), wins (78), saves (8), appearances (149) and shutouts (32). Ashley Guillette left quite the legacy at Oxford, a program she almost single-handily turned into a state power during her four-year career. As a freshman in 2012, Guillette led the Wolverines to its first South-West Conference title. A year later, Oxford captured its first state title after edging Terryville 1-0 in the Class S state championship game. Guillette guided the Wolverines to another SWC championship last season.
