The pitchers will be using USA Elite Training’s innovative training system created by owner Jen Hapanowicz to work on developing efficient mechanics to increase speed and balance, explosion and accuracy of pitch location. The more experienced pitchers will work on their change-up & creating more spin and accurate movement of their breaking pitches. The Rev Fire and Radar Gun will be used to measure spin rotation and pitch speed. The catchers will work on stances, receiving the ball and framing, correct throwing techniques and footwork, blocking, pick-off plays, fielding bunts, pass balls, and drills to increase footwork speed and strength. The catchers will also work on how to call a game and how to command the field.

Learn the proper mechanics and fundamentals necessary in the game of softball. This overall skills clinic will cover throwing, techinques, catching, fielding, baserunning, and hitting. The hitting portion of the clinic will use the USA Elite Training teaching system including: Fundamentals of the swing, proper dynamic balance, correct hand path to the ball, maximizing bat speed, learning how to hit various pitches. The older player will learn how to make adjustment and how to hit a change-up, and learning how to hit various pitches. The mental side of hitting will also be discussed with all players on how to maintain a postive mental hitting approach.
